Bean to Bar Chocolate Brownies
There are few things that satisfy a sweet craving better than a decadent brownie served with a scoop of ice cream. This recipe is the perfect treat for cookouts and summer parties. Check out the full recipe below:
What You'll Need:
For the Brownies:
1 Stick (8 Tbsp) salted butter
1 bar of Costa Esmeraldas Dark (or about 55 grams dark chocolate of your choice)
4 small squares of Coffee Toffee Crunch Chocolate (or about 15 grams. You can use the same dark chocolate as above depending on what you have on hand but the Coffee Toffee Crunch really adds a special something!)
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla
Optional for serving:
Your favorite ice cream
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Spray or Grease a 8x8 pan.
Add the sugar to a large mixing bowl
Break or Chop chocolate into small pieces and place in a smaller microwave safe bowl.
Add butter to the microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until the butter has just melted and the chocolate is starting to melt.
Once the chocolate pieces start to get soft and the butter has melted, whisk the butter/chocolate mixture to allow the chocolate pieces to finish melting
Pour the butter/chocolate mixture into the sugar and stir well
Crack the eggs into a separate bowl and whisk them together
Pour the beaten eggs into the Butter/Chocolate/Sugar mixture and stir well
Add the Vanilla and stir well
Finally, add the flour and stir until just combined
Pour the batter into the 8x8 pan
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean
All to cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving
Top with a scoop of your favorite ice cream and sprinkle with some chopped nuts or drizzle with caramel sauce
